Did you know that by correlating demographic data with the attitudes expressed during Focus Groups and Mock Trials, a clear idea emerges of how people with different profiles will respond to the issues of the case. By constructing a Supplemental Questionnaire with questions that tap the attitudes and demographics that are discriminating to various issues of the case, attorneys are able to rank the jury pool prior to voir dire.

Electronic Communication in the Courtroom (2 CLE credits)
This is a two-hour seminar designed to familiarize attorneys with the use of the latest electronic technology in the courtroom. The seminar covers the use of electronic messaging between counsel, co-counsel, trial consultants, and expert witnesses during trial and voir dire; the use of PowerPoint for visual, engaging case presentations; and the use of Trial Director for case organization and electronic introduction of evidence. Scientific Trial Preparation (1 CLE credit)
This is a one-hour seminar designed to familiarize attorneys with facets of pre-trial scientific research. The seminar focuses on the use of focus groups and mock trials to collect case-specific data in preparation for settlement conferences, voir dire, and trial. The Story Telling Model (2 CLE credits)
This is a two-hour seminar designed to familiarize attorneys with the use of the Story Telling Model in case preparation. The seminar focuses on how to develop central themes and sub-themes for a case, and the use of story telling skills to create a dynamic, plot-driven case presentation. Jury Bias (Detecting, Deselecting & Defusing) (1 CLE credit)
This is a one-hour seminar focusing on how best to take advantage of the voir dire process. The seminar begins by touching on common voir dire mistakes, and follows by covering a number of well-tested, effective strategies for detecting biased jurors, and methods for defusing biases that are too widely-held to realistically deselect. The Psychology of Persuasion in the Courtroom (1 CLE credit)
This is one-hour seminar which covers logical and relatively illogical persuasive cues factors of persuasion regarding the source (attorney), recipients (members of the jury), and message (case presentation), and the application of persuasive skills in the courtroom. Juror Perceptions of Insurance Bad Faith Cases (1 CLE credit)
This is a one-hour seminar which focuses on themes that are common to jurors in insurance bad faith cases. Plaintiff and defense attorneys will learn the issues that jurors commonly discuss (as discovered in focus groups, mock trials, and personal interviews). Techniques will be discussed for uncovering these issues during voir dire, and for explaining difficult insurance concepts to the jury. Focused Trial Preparation (14 CLE credits)
This is a two-day, interactive workshop designed to assist Plaintiff attorneys in preparing one of their cases for upcoming trial. Participants learn the story-telling model, design their opening statements on PowerPoint, and test their openings before focus groups and other Plaintiff attorneys.
